Effective Transport Strategies for Boosting the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) (COP29 Event)

The aim is to advance resilient, low-carbon transport strategies that can fast-track climate action within the framework of the third revision cycle of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs 3.0). These updated NDCs must raise the bar on ambition and impact, potentially marking the last chance to steer global emissions toward the 1.5°C target set by the Paris Agreement. Governments and other key stakeholders are encouraged to discuss their challenges and share transport actions that are currently integrated or planned for integration into their NDCs.

In support of these goals, the ITF will present its guidance document, A Guide to Integrating Transport into Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), as part of the event.
