Pathways to Inclusion: Women Shaping the Future of Transport
ITF Meeting
ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim leads the International Women’s Day celebrations at the ITF Corporate Partnership Board’s annual event, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss gender diversity in transport.
As we move towards more sustainable and inclusive transport systems, women play a critical role in shaping innovation, leadership, and policy. 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a landmark commitment to advancing gender equality. Yet, despite progress, women remain underrepresented in key areas of transport.
This year’s event explores pathways to greater inclusion, focusing on initiatives that foster female participation and leadership in the sector. From university partnerships that boost recruitment to women driving innovation in biofuels, discussions will highlight the transformative power of diverse perspectives in tackling the transport challenges of today and tomorrow.
The event offers a platform for knowledge-sharing and dialogue, featuring high-level keynotes, interactive panel discussions, and case studies that address both the challenges and successes of women in transport. ITF Corporate Partnership Board members and other guests will provide industry-specific insights, reinforcing the importance of gender-inclusive strategies in shaping the future of mobility.
