Italy’s national railway operator FS Italiane joins the ITF Corporate Partnership Board

The International Transport Forum (ITF) is delighted to announce that the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FS), Italy’s national railway operator and a major European integrated mobility group, has joined the ITF Corporate Partnership Board as the board’s 34th member.

Established in 1905, the FS Group is one of Europe’s largest mobility operators with over 91 000 employees, 10 000 trains per day, some 700 million train and bus passengers per year and more than 40 million tonnes of freight annually. FS railway infrastructure extends over 17 000 kilometres, of which more than 1 000 kilometres are dedicated to High Speed/High Capacity services. The Group also operates a road network of around 32 000 kilometres.

The Group’s 10-year Business Plan aims at making rail and road infrastructure increasingly sustainable, accessible, effectively integrated as well as more resilient.

The Corporate Partnership Board is the ITF's platform for engaging with the private sector and enriching global transport policy discussion with a business perspective.
