Micromobility: Back to the Future
This project reviewed the evolution of micromobility technologies, practices and business models from a safety and environmental perspective.
It updated the findings of two groundbreaking ITF reports on micromobility: "Safe Micromobility" and "Good to Go? Assessing the Environmental Performance of New Mobility" (both 2020). These examined the safety and environmental impacts of micromobility and new mobility services, both major considerations for public authorities for licenses, tenders and regulatory frameworks. In the meantime, research, evidence, technology and operations have progressed, meriting a revisit of the issues to provide policy makers with timely, actionable insights.
