Decarbonising Pathways for Urban Passenger Transport in Ulaanbaatar: Fact-Finding Mission

The ITF organises an on-site kickoff and fact-finding mission to Mongolia, as a part of ITF's Sustainable Infrastructure Programme in Asia (SIPA).

An in-person workshop was held on 23 March in Ulaanbaatar. Multiple bilateral high-level and technical meetings with government officials and local key stakeholders occured between 22 and 25 March.

This mission was the ITF's first official visit to Mongolia. Jari Kauppila, ITF’s Head of Secretary General’s Office, represented the ITF.

This mission also laid the groundwork for the ITF's regional connectivity study for Central Asia.
