Low-Carbon Prosperity in Progress: Transforming Transport in Asia - the regional conference of the NDC Transport Initiative for Asia, is an invitation-only conference scheduled from 25 to 28 June 2024 in Bangkok, Thaliand. The Conference is an opportunity to strengthen the connections made within the transport community over the past four years. The event will showcase outcomes of partners’ collaborative efforts to decarbonise the transport sector in Asia, with a focus on China, India, Vietnam and Thailand, capture developments in the region and inspire to take action. Beyond the partner countries, the programme includes countries in Southeast Asia, and is a chance to share lessons learned, enhance transport decarbonisation leadership, and promote efficient multi-stakeholder coordination between government ministries, civil society, and the private sector
The event also offers networking between transport researchers, private and public sector professionals, and high-level transport representatives. This event is part of the NDC Transport Initiative for Asia project.
The ITF will be co-organising two sessions at the Conference:
- Opportunities for passenger transport electrification: Prioritising buses and light electric vehicles for environmental and social impact
