Ministers of Transport meet in Leipzig for ITF 2024 Summit
Transport ministers from around the world will gather for a global summit in Leipzig, Germany, from 22 to 24 May to discuss “Greening Transport”. Visit the Summit website.
Lithuania holds the Presidency of the Summit this year. Lithuania’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Marius Skuodis, will open the Summit and chair the Council of Ministers of Transport. View a video message from Minister Skuodis.
Around 50 ministers and delegates from c. 80 countries will attend the Summit, organised by the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the OECD. Request (non-binding) accreditation. On-site registration remains possible during the Summit days.
The Summit theme is "Greening Transport: keeping focus in times of crisis". Participants will seek ways to accelerate climate action in transport in a wider context of wars, natural disasters and other crises.
The role of artificial intelligence for our future mobility will also feature in the discussions.
The Summit will include Ministerial Roundtables on
• Ukraine;
• Climate change;
• Inclusive transport;
• Supply-chain resilience
and a wide range of other topics.
The Summit of the International Transport Forum takes place for the 16th time. Since 2008, it has established itself as the world’s premier transport policy event.
The ITF is an intergovernmental organisation with 66 member countries on five continents. It acts as a think tank for member governments and organises global dialogue for better transport. It is administratively integrated in the OECD but politically independent. Find out more about the ITF.
