Blockchain and Trusted Provenance in Transport Supply and Trip Chains: Corporate Partnership Board Workshop

ITF Meeting ITF Meeting

Blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies (DLT) can play a key role in improving the trust and traceability in various supply and trip chains.
Some supply chains are already using Blockchain technology, and experts suggest DLTs could become a universal “supply chain operating system” before long as it offers the possibility to address key supply chain challenges, such as speed, traceability, vehicle and cargo safety and status monitoring, billing and payment processes across a large set of diverse actors.
The workshop will identify current pain points in providing and regulating supply chain and passenger fare management services; discuss the potential of DLTs to address the issues and share insights from proof of concept/work implementations of the participants.
