COP25 Official Side Event.Transport Mitigation Actions in Cities

UNFCCC official side event at COP25. 16:45-18:15. Room 1, Blue Zone.
Low carbon transport options need to be integrated into existing transport and climate action plans for cities, which are also where robust transport actions already exist. This session focuses on effective ways to decarbonise urban passenger and freight transport based on changes in technology and behaviour. Speakers representing a range of sectors share their vision on effective climate mitigation actions for transport in cities and ways to scale up different initiatives.
The session consists of two moderated panel discussions followed by questions and answers.
Young Tae Kim (ITF Secretary-General) is a speaker in the session on "Low Carbon Transport Measures in Cities" and Jari Kauppila (ITF Head of Quantitative Policy Analysis and Foresight) speaks in the session on "Scaling Up to Increase Ambition".
