Decarbonising Transport initiative: Active Projects

DT Implement
The DT Implement project supports countries in their transition to low carbon transport systems. It promotes a shift to sustainable and smart passenger and freight transport and the use of clean energy. More information

Decarbonising Transport in Emerging Economies
The Decarbonising Transport in Emerging Economies (DTEE) project aims to help national governments and other stakeholders to identify transport measures and establish pathways to reduce transport CO2 emissions and meet their climate goals and NDCs. The project is funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). It will be implemented in collaboration with The Wuppertal Institute (WI). More information

Decarbonising Transport in India
This workstream operates over two projects:

  • The Decarbonising Transport in Emerging Economies (DTEE) - India project aims to help India's government and other stakeholders to identify transport measures and establish pathways to reduce transport CO2 emissions and meet their climate goals and NDCs. More information
  • The NDC Transport Initiative for Asia (NDC-TIA) aims at promoting a coherent strategy of effective policies for decarbonising transport that are co-ordinated among various sector ministries, civil society and the private sector. More information

Decarbonising Transport in Europe
This project will help to identify policy measures for the decarbonisation of transport in Europe and contribute to the construction of Europe-wide transport models, data collections and scenarios. It will also strengthen co-operation among different international stakeholders. The project is funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 831743. More information

Decarbonising Transport in Latin American Cities
This project will help identify policy measures for decarbonising transport in three Latin American Cities (Bogotá, Buenos Aires and Mexico City) and beyond. It will contribute to the building of strategic transport models for these cities, allowing them to develop transport decarbonisation scenarios. It will also strengthen co-operation among different local, national and international stakeholders in the form of stakeholder events and workshops. The project is carried out in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and is funded by IDB’s Regional Public Goods initiative. More information
