Realising the Potential of the “Middle Corridor”
Head of the ITF Secretary-General's Office Jari Kauppila speaks on a panel on the challenges of multimodality in a "Middle Corridor" shipping route between East Asia and the European Union. This route crosses the Caspian Sea and involves land and maritime transport, crossing multiple country borders and switching between different rail gauges. This OECD-hosted event brings together government representatives, experts, development partners from the trade, transport and logistics sphere in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Türkiye, and relevant development partners.
