Transport and Covid-19: responses and resources

Entering the Decade of Electric Drive: 10 years of the Electric Vehicles Initiative/11th Clean Energy Ministerial Meeting Pre-Event (virtual meeting)

ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim is a speaker in Session 2, "High-level Panel: What we have achieved so far, and looking forward for transforming mobility and logistics in this decade".

The event showcases the Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI)’s achievements since its launch in 2010, and opens the gates to the next decade, outlining the opportunities that lie ahead. While current efforts have initiated the transition to mass market adoption of EVs, the event aims to establish a comprehensive vision for transport decarbonisation by extending the focus to the hard-to-abate heavy-duty transport segments. Coming at a time when governments are putting sustainability at the core of their recovery packages in the response to Covid-19, this high-level forum acts as a platform for policy makers and industry stakeholders to highlight how their efforts are accelerating the clean energy transition in transport for better climate, health, employment and social prosperity prospects. This is also an opportunity to broadcast the launch of the new EVI Drive-to-Zero Campaign to be launched at CEM11.
