Gender and Transport Seminar

ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim addresses the session, sharing an overview of the ITF’s work on gender in transport and future directions. This seminar, organised by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in cooperation with the International Transport Forum to raise awareness about the importance of incorporating a gender perspective in the transport sector and increasing women's presence to ensure future transport policies reflect these principles. Executives of Japanese transport companies participate to share ongoing initiatives in Japan to provide transportation services that incorporate women's mobility needs and to promote female participation in employee and managerial positions in the transport sector.
