The Gender Questionnaire

An assessment of existing data and policies on gender and transport is the first step towards data collection, analysis to develop gender-neutral transport policies. This assessment should take place as early as possible in the policy or project development process.

The questionnaire template provided in this section therefore serves as an assessment tool for ministries of transport and other transport stakeholders to better understand their current level of gender equality.

The ITF used this questionnaire template to take stock of existing policy initiatives, data-gathering practices and policy tools used by countries in integrating a gender perspective in transport data collection and policy making, while increasing awareness.
