The Governance of Metropolitan Transport Systems
The meeting aims to inform decision-makers and academics of both possibilities and limitations of comparative studies on governance and politics of metropolitan transport. This meeting is a joint initiative by the Volvo Research and Educational Foundations, VREF and K2 – the Swedish Knowledge Centre for Public Transport. K2 is a partnership between three universities/research institutes and the three metropolitan transport authorities in Sweden. One of its aims is to overcome the distance between practice and academic research on public transport.
Tatiana Samsonova, Policy Analyst at ITF, will be discussing the work ITF has done on metropolitan transport authorities (MTAs) for Korea’s Capital Region.
