G7 Transport Ministers’ Meeting
ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim leads a mission to Japan for the G7 Transport Ministers' Meeting. At the “Public-Private Session” on 17 June, Secretary-General Kim delivers a keynote speech and joins a discussion of G7 Transport Ministers with the EU Commissioner for Transport.
As part of the mission, Dr Kim holds bilateral talks with Tesuo Saito, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Tourism, Government of Japan, and with senior representatives of Japanese companies.
Of ITF's 66 member countries, eight are in Asia. The organisation is seeking to further expand its presence in the region.
