Notes: 

(1) Vehicle at controlled temperatures: 2.60 m.
(2) It may be allowed up to 22 m subject to certain restrictions.
(3) EMS (European Modular System) combinations may have a maximum length of 25.25 m and maximum weight of 60 t on a designated road network.
(4) For truck in combination with trailer the length of 18.75 m can be exceeded, with the aim of improving energy efficiency, in particular regarding the aerodynamic performance of cabs.
(5) Road train specialised in the carriage of cars (loaded): 20.75 m.
(6) An extra 15 cm are allowed for vehicles carrying 45 ft container involved in intermodal operations.
(7) For truck in combination with semi-trailer the length of 16.50 m can be exceeded, with the aim of improving energy efficiency, in particular regarding the aerodynamic performance of cabs.
