The Conference programme, related concept notes, information note and other background documentation are available on the Conference website and the entire Conference will be livestreamed via UN Web TV.

New UN inter-agency report on “Sustainable Transport, Sustainable Development” released
A new UN Inter-Agency Report on “Sustainable Transport, Sustainable Development” is now available on this page. The report stresses the role of sustainable transport — with its objectives of universal access, enhanced safety, reduced environmental and climate impact, improved resilience, and greater efficiency — as critical to achieving sustainable development. The key findings of the report will be presented by representatives of DESA, the World Bank and UNCTAD at a press briefing on Tuesday, 12 October, at 12:30 pm EDT. The press briefing will be livestreamed via UN WebTV.

A detailed programme of the Conference including speakers is now available at: https://www.un.org/en/conferences/transport2021/programme

On the margins of the Conference there will be virtual side events organized by Member States, the UN system and other stakeholders related to the theme of the Conference “Sustainable Development, Sustainable Development”. Sustainable Transport commitments
An important part of the Conference will be voluntary commitments, partnerships and other initiatives that seek to raise ambition on sustainable transport. Both in the lead-up to and during the Conference, Member States, UN system entities, the private sector, local and regional governments, and other stakeholders are encouraged to share information about ongoing and new commitments through a dedicated online platform developed by the UN to showcase inspiring initiatives that advance sustainable transport in ways that are in line with the SDGs and the Paris Agreement. For more information on the commitments platform, visit the page here. A recording and summary of a special webinar on Sustainable Transport commitments can be viewed here
