UITP’s Global Public Transport Summit

Secretary-General Young Tae Kim represents ITF at the Summit, including scene-setting the plenary session on the topic “The new normal: Drawing new business models for our sector”. Dr Kim's focus is an overview of mobility post-Covid. He participates in an interactive panel on how the post-Covid evolution has impacted business and is joined by Sylvia Rodan (CEO Matro Madrid), Stephanie Wiggins (LA Metro), Thierry Mallet (CEO Transdev), and Maria Manuela Lopez Menendez (Secretary of Transport and Public Works of the City of Buenos Aires). Together they shares insights on paths towards a new business model and the potential role of national governments.

Dr Kim's bilateral meetings during the Summit include with Mohamed Mezghani (UITP Secretary General) and Giorgio Travaini (Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking Acting Director), among others.
